Last month, we sent an e-mail to our membership in celebration of the fact that Liberty HealthShare had just achieved a milestone. In mid-December, our membership surpassed 100,000 people. It’s hard to believe that since then, we’ve added over 10,000 more individuals to our community!
These 100,000+ people:
Know their rights come from God and not from the government.
Believe they are responsible to God and one another for the way they treat their bodies.
Are approaching their health in a completely unique way.
Have chosen community when our nation so desperately needs it.
It goes without saying that something unusual and important is happening here!
As we celebrate this special occasion, we think it’s a great opportunity to remember and recommit to our roles in this ministry. The Liberty HealthShare team exists to facilitate the sharing of eligible medical costs among our members. Think of us as a host that invites you into our living room and introduces you to one another, making relationships possible. Our members are people who have agreed to steward both their health and the resources of the community where the cost of their health care is concerned. They are the guests at this proverbial party, voluntarily accepting an invitation to join us and to do what good friends do: take care of themselves so they can be of service to others.
We often say that we are not insurance, and we are thrilled about that! Instead of a monolithic organization that answers to shareholders and not patients, we are a Christian ministry that cares deeply and personally for the growing number of people who are trusting us to assist them with the sharing of medical costs.
We are thankful for you, our members. We know we couldn't have reached this milestone without you sharing your Liberty experience with friends and family. In the days and months ahead, we want you to know we at Liberty HealthShare are more committed than ever to being your host in the healthcare sharing movement. We are excited about what’s ahead, and we hope you are too. Happy New Year!
