While attending a national convention, the Liberty HealthShare team was approached by a member. This member had broken through the crowd that was standing in front of the booth, and pulled something out of his back pocket. In front of everyone in attendance there, in a voice that was above the average clamor of a convention floor, with a determined look on his face, he pulled out his Liberty HealthShare Member Card and said "You all saved my life".
Andy and Tiffany Clark are a young couple from Canton, Ohio. Like many young couples, the Clarks began to face financial difficulties due to student loan debt. These difficulties prompted tough decisions as the couple faced the choice between paying healthcare costs or neglecting basic necessities of life such as food and rent. Andy and Tiffany’s faith in God’s provision led them to pray that He would intervene and provide a solution that would meet all of these needs rather than accepting the frightening realities of living without healthcare.
While the Willington's initially expressed an immense amount of uncertainty about their decision to join the Liberty HealthShare ranks, their trepidation turned to relief when they realized the community of members was there to support them and their children. Now, they reciprocate gladly each month when they send their monthly share to another member with expenses to pay. They know the feeling, first hand, when others across the nation extend their personal, financial, and emotional support. Knowing that a community of people have committed themselves to help pay for medical expenses means there is one less thing to worry about! The Willington's will verify that sentiment!
