Breast Cancer: What You Should Know

Each October, many charities, research organizations, medical institutions, and individuals participate in National Breast Cancer Awareness Month to spread the word about the need for early detection and proper treatment for those diagnosed with breast cancer.

Understandably, most people prefer not to dwell on their cancer risk or entertain thoughts of what might happen if they were diagnosed, but the reality is that breast cancer will affect roughly 1 in 8 women born today.

Prioritizing Heart Health During the Holidays

What do you picture when you hear the words “holiday heart?” The phrase might evoke images of warm family gatherings, wintry outings with friends that end with hot cider, or even chocolates. As lovely as these nostalgic scenes might be, “holiday heart syndrome” actually refers to an increase in emergency room visits and hospital admissions from an irregular heart rhythm that many people experience around the holidays. What IS Candy Corn?

In less than two weeks, many of us will face a steady stream of costumed little ones visiting our front doors and begging for something sweet to eat. Unless you want to spend the evening sitting in the dark and pretending not to be home, it’s best not to be caught empty-handed (this author cannot confirm nor deny prior experience in this department).

Lord, Hear My Prayer

His words:

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer; answer me, for I need your help. Protect me, for I am devoted to you. Save me, for I serve you and trust you.

New ShareBox Coming

The old is out, and the new is in! We're excited to announce that Liberty HealthShare will be launching our new ShareBox platform. This change marks the first time in five years since there has been a major change to the ShareBox system.

Members of Liberty HealthShare use their ShareBox in a number of ways. It's where our online community, that spreads across the nation goes to share in medical expenses. The ShareBox is where members can see their current Annual Unshared Amount (AUA), approve their monthly share, send messages of cheer and prayer to other members, and track their medical expenses. Our ShareBox is where our members interact with their Liberty HealthShare family.

In a push to improve our systems, we found it necessary to update the ShareBox and make it a platform for continued growth and innovation.

So what can members expect with their new ShareBox? For one, an updated look that will improve user experience and information usability. There's improved access to make account changes easier. Another, an easier way to review medical expenses so that our members can be better healthcare consumers. Lastly, a streamlined process to request member cards in the event that they get lost.

We are constantly making improvements to our member processes, and we're excited about the change. We know that this will improve our member interaction and experience.
